Have you enabled the maps on the gps??
From memory its setting/ maps/freshmap / enable.

In saying this you taught me this one! if you cant figure this one out then it will be way above my pay...

Random... Mine has a capital G and wont work with out it. Im calling it to Te Puke in the morning will drop mine off! (if I remember)

Gibo . The file that you called garmin that the maps go in must be spelt correctly and have a capital G or it wont work.
Try to cut and paste the file name off the file in the gps memory to the file...
