Another 8 inches of barrel at 50 fps per inch sounds about right then
20 inches, I'm up to about 90 rounds so should speed up a bit soon I'm told
That's in Norma brass, what speeds are you seeing?
Got out and shot the 143 ELD-X today with 2217 and I think I'm where I want to be.
Just a ladder test

Mystery solved, gave my cases a bloody good clean this time round with some isopropyl alcohol and shot 60.5 grains of 2225 with the 147 ELD-M for speeds of 2726, 2726, 2710 and 2726. 3 duplicates! ...

Looking bloody good mate, that's a kick ass load right there
I did wonder about starting my own thread but then thought it was a good idea to keep all or a good chunk of the 6.5 PRC experience in one place. Once I've got this load sorted I'll be done shooting...
That's bloody good Makros I'm going to send some 147s down range loaded with 2225 in the next few days, hopefully get close to what you're seeing with 2213sc.
Got mine out for a ladder test today, only looking at speeds and pressure today, no groups shot.
First up was 147 ELD-M and AR 2217 in Norma brass.

Haters gonna hate ha ha. Same can be said about the 7mm rem mag, you can get close with a 280ai or 284, maybe you can go higher, maybe you use slightly less powder, but at the end of the day they all...
Exciting is an understatement :P
So I've got 40 rounds already, Norma bondstrike ammo.
Powder I'll use 2217 or Superformance.
Projectiles I'm not 100 percent on yet, I've got @a box if 147...
Alright, I've joined the club. Looking forward to playing with a new caliber. Factory ammo to start so I can get used to it and build up some brass, reloading later.
Thanks for that Doon load data for Superformance is patchy at best which is a shame because it is such a good powder. I haven't got the rifle yet but once I do I'll be mucking around with some...
Hi Doon what brass are you using in your PRC? And where did you find data to start your load dev with?
Thanks DBD I can't have looked very hard :ORLY:
Anybody using superformance in their 6.5 prc? I'm sure I saw a post a while ago but can't find it.
