Bagheera
I'm actually keen on a big 7 myself, something lightweight, but I've had a painful to shoot rifle before and it isn't fun.
Agree on suppressor etc. I run a 16" browning lightweight 308...

Another vote for GME. 5w ones are awesome and the battery saving feature works well. My mate runs a ICOM 5w works well, I think they cost a bit more though.
Repco has the latest 5w GME on sale for...
Bagheera that's gonna be very light for a stout calibre, be a fair bit of extra kick to it I imagine? Or do you mean with a brake ?
Thanks for this good idea
Interested to see if the Springfield Waypoints come out in it, I heard they were.
mcche171 what's are those going for mate? 24" barrel?
Ah right thanks.
Anyone heard if any other ammo manufacturers are going to start making 7PRC soon?
I've read the is 7mm PRC a lemon thread, seems the factory Hornady stuff has something to be desired
Would have liked to have seen a higher magnification LPVO like a 1-8.
Skot I spoke to Kroseg (hi tec) earlier this year and they have a xbolt one in development, maybe call them and see where they are at with it ?
Swaro z6i 1-6, I'd like to get a z8i 1-8 one day.
I think the next generation of hunting scopes may be something like true 1x and then up to 10x. March, Eotech, Vortex, Sig already have offerings...
Would an ultrasonic cleaner work?
It will be interesting to see the quality of the ADL and BDL models. They will face some stiff competition from Bergara for buyers wanting a well priced well made Rem 700 footprint rifle.
308 of course ;)
I do the below method from the Browning site. The Boretech cu+2 works well even though it doesn't have ammonia. I don't know if it is just a fairy tale but I've never had a bad shooting rifle after...
Ah sorry you were talking 6.5
Kelton they don't seem to be that affected by shortening the barrel based off video below.

It isn't a big deal to do with a Tikka but the problem is Tikka have stopped making a 260, I think I bought the last one in the country but ran out of time to reload/development with kids taking up...
Yeah I should have been more descriptive, I meant with the bolt stop, mag change to allow you to seat the projectile further out on a 260.
mcche171 did you go for a factory 7prc or custom rifle?
I see Bergara and Tikka still don't have 7prc out. I read for Tikka at least the European equivalent of Saami was the holdup in approving it.
6.5 Creedmoor is a good killer. Seen it first hand. I think the question of whether it is good for you comes down to what length barrel you want especially if using a suppressor.
I use a 16" 308...
Kiwi Greg very respectable, seems similar to the below video showing factory 175eldx in 20,22,24" barrel.
Seems like the 20" 7prc might be a good option for a short barrel long range rig.
...
I like those Tikka tac rifles but they are more of a PRS rifle. It will be pretty heavy for a hunting rifle unless you're doing short walks and mainly staying stationary. I wouldn't put anything too...
Kiwi Greg did you end up doing a 20"? How did it perform?
Yes they do great work. Their crowns are as good as any factory crown.
Interesting. I saw your SAUM when you posted up a pic if it looking to swap your March scope. A real beauty but I did wonder about the recoil as it looked light.
I'd like to buy a lightish 6 -7lb...
