It may not be.308 any more then if it needed a larger bullet like .310 or something it...

Give it the hell scrub with a bronze bore brush and some sweets
Then after that clean all sweets out i use meths
Sweets will eat barrels so make sure you get it out

Then if it’s still bad plug...
