Score 1 to the pheasant this morning. Dog tracked a running bird nearly 300m thru the scrub along the edge of a creek and it flushed just in an un-shootable position.

Pheasant for me today, 1 shot fired. Not like yesterday 4 for no result.
Dog is awesome as usual.

I let the dog go find them then she waits there till I find her. I miss and she gives me the "wtf" look, then goes looking for another.

We slipped and slid round forestry tracks Sunday. On my own and there were a few times I wished i wasnt as the tracks were pretty awful. Saw 3 quail (flew off as i entered forestry)...

Great walk this morning. Managed a double on quail and to cap it off one was retrieved to hand by my wee girl and the other was retrieved by her sister. Absolutely stoked I was

9 months, trying not to rush things, not really planning to hunt her this season just practice

First pheasant of the season today , so got my limit :D very happy shot over a mates DD pointer. My dog has today off as her bloody allergies flared up after Saturdays effort for nil return.
