Thanks mate, that's a good suggestion!

I use a Howa 1500 7mm08 with 16" barrel and Gunworks suppressor for bush hunting. It's pushing the 120g TTSX at 2900fps and getting 0.3" groups at 100yd, which gives me confidence within...
Hi team,
Was planning on testing a few loads out this weekend at the in-laws place near Arrowtown. Unfortunately the owners of the section I usually use have started their build, so it's a no-go....
Second hunt for the pup this weekend. This time I thought I'd rip the Band-Aid off and do a fairly big country open tops overnighter. The trip starts with a 600m (that's vertical metres, not...
Right, well I'll certainly double check my measurements but my book says they were 20 thou off lands, which is pretty standard, and from memory the COAL was consistent with that. Will defintiekt...
From what everyone is saying, it sounds like I need to up my cleaning game a bit, which is definitely true. But that the neck tension might not be the cause of the excessive pressure.
I'm going to...
Yeah unfortunately neither of those either. Hot sun certainly isn't a regular occurrence down here.
Yeah I'm not too worried. That load has dropped a few animals now and groups consistently at 100yd, which is where I do most of my shooting with that rifle.
I'm not toooo worried about the noise...
- immunologist: once upon a time, yes
- dies are your stock standard rcbs dies
- none were Noticeably difficult to seat from memory, is there something that could cause some to be more difficult...
They're seated 20 thou off lands?
EFriz should have it at this stage!
Yep, all well and truly deburred.
Yeah will definitely brush the neck now, cheers. Two firings, brass not annealed. Powder weights were accurate.
Resized the virgin brass. But will definitely give the inside of the neck a good clean and make sure I'm resizing consistently, cheers.
Didn't give them a good scrub, but they weren't left long before firing (couple of days max) and I had a good look inside the necks last night and they all looked in good nick - no corrosion just...
G'day team,
I've been discovering the highs and lows of reloading over the last 12 months or so.
My 7mmRM shoots pretty well. Recently I've been trying combinations of AR2217 and 162g ELD-X....
Yep, nah training never stops. And she's only young so well aware that I'll be intensive training for another year yet! Nice to have as good a start as I could have hoped for though.
When you say...
Hey mate, why do you say it looks like 2000fps?
For you reloading nerds.
7mm08 16" barrel shooting 120g TTSX with H335 going around 2900 fps. Shoots good groups at 100m but I'm not super happy with the consistency in velocity. Anyway, the deer...
Yeah good call. I don't want to actively discourage it because it's pretty useful in plenty of situations. But I'll definitely put emphasis on encouraging wind scent. And will continue concentrating...
Yeah have been mate. She hasn't completed the whole program yet but for various reasons I decided to hunt her earlier than what I had originally planned.
Honestly, the nice open bush where I shot the deer was the exception to the rule in that spot. Was pretty grim before I got up on that ridge.
Ha! Not sure about knowing how to hunt, but it's fun giving it a nudge!
G'day Team. Bit of a write up here.
I've been training a 10 month old GSP/Lab called Flo to be a deer indicating dog. The training has been going really well for the most part. All the hunting...
Rangers do (as far as I'm aware) mate but unfortunately the BT-50 does not have a hole all ready to go.
