Thumbs up Beretta NZ, good to hear your still consistent

Caught up with a mate today who's a keen shotgunner. Hes had a problem with an expensive Beretta O/U for a while with the stock not fitting him correctly. Thought he could shoot his way through it, but just ended up sore and scoring low. The stock was a R/H but had been turned straight with no cast (as advised before purchase).
Hes a lefty and probably did not do his homework before buying the thing.
So he concedes defeat and sends gun to Beretta NZ. The response was, nothing can be done and a new stock needs to be fitted plus it's going to be a few grand and 2 years to wait.
Fortunately (for him) he finds a chap in Wellington who says no worries, charges him $150 and takes only a few days to turn it around.
Supposedly the guy was ex Purdy and did a bunch of outwork for Holland & Holland which my be worth knowing.

Not the first time I have heard of this type of customer service. My first shottie was a Beretta but the last one was a Browning.

Not sure if these guys will export but

You can bend stocks with a lot of heat and linseed oil or something I believe. A new stock costs upwards of 1500 unless you make it from drift wood... Hence why berettas quote seems high.
Two years is a bit of a wait tho, should of got a perazzi... Only a year wait on them haha

Losing a T3 bolt is an instant insurance write off. Don't lose your T3 bolt eh. The cost and FA is not worth it

I wonder if the reason the stock couldnt be worked on by the manufacurer (Beretta) because it was already straightened once. I'd imagine that to be the case - did your mate have to agree to risk of damage to the stock? (with the gunsmith in wellywood i mean)

    Yip typical Beretta NZ

Beyond fucking useless is being kind....
Hence why ill never buy another zeiss or beretta product in Nz
Both had issues in the 1st couple of months and they did nothing about either.

Murry Cameron is the stock man in Wellie.
'Knows his shit and has been there and done that' is a vast understatement
