    22WMR Ammo

    Is there actually the price difference worth between these two lots?
    Have never owned a 22 mag so any ammo advice and the ranges people are taking out bunnies at would be much appreciated.

    I use the Hornady V-Max and the CCI, but 30g Poly tip (black) Exact same bullet just different coloured tips. Normally same price.

    The CCI you have there is a HP.

    Ah right.
    So basically two v-max in different flavours, notice any real world difference when shooting them? Have you run them through a chrony and if so what barrel length and speed you find?

    That's it...

    Running out od Ruger 77/22WMR and 10/22WMR no real difference, they do the damge on rabbits comfortably at 100m.

    No chrony barrel 20" from memory, sold the bolt and just have the semi now.

    My go to bullet, have other odds'n'sods about but these are my fav

    Waa having a read through this site and thinking of chopping from 22 down to 18. However 14 inch is pretty tempting too

    What are you shooting them out of? Just like the .22LR, buy a box of everything available and then shoot each for accuracy. Then buy as much as you can afford of the one that is most accurate.
    My CZ hates CCH/Hornady but loves Winchester.

    You're right and that's really what I should be doing and probably will end up doing eventually.

    Old marlin would eat anything and hopeful this new toy will be similar when I get a chance to use it
