    I'm was running the 162 eld-m at 2530fps in my 18inch 7mm08.
Took hundreds of goats and fallow from 10meters out to 602meters without any issues.
    Also used in my 18inch 284 @2800fps

These projectiles at this speed is perfect for all big game from close to long range. Ive had devastating kills with them so far.
I use to shoot the 162gr amax's with good results too but the m's seem to be better in my experience so far.
Whats your load data for this? That's good velocity

Dont be a blouse, I'm well aware of working up loads, interested in powder and weight as I'm doing the same, found 2209 better than 08 actually. This question wasn't directed at you but thanks for your unwanted input....

2 different u7mm08 162 loads that yield that velocity and better are both 2208

2209 will give slightly more velocity than 2208 with 162 eldm in 7mm08.

Must be using something like superformance to get 2640 in a 18". Either that or just way overpressure.

And it doesnt necessary point directly at you when I say work up if some one goes and says 45gns of 2208 for example and a new to it all reloader googles 7mm08 reloading in new zealand 162gn hornady and sees 45gn 2208 they might load a bunch of cases with 45gn of 2208 and blow up a rifle . Not every one is as clever as you amd you'll rarely see top end loads posted on threads try asking via PM

Yep that's what I was curious to know, maybe RL17 hence asking the question as I'm only getting mid 2500s before hitting pressure signs with 18 inch barrel. Plenty of people publish their load data, but Kelton has something against this for some reason. People are adults and can make that call themselves, if they can't then they shouldn't be reloading.

Couldn't agree more. I see it all the time on reloading pages on face book, someone asking about loads for "x" rifle in "x" caliber, the amount of replies that are well over book max is ridiculous. I have no problem with pushing past book max but putting it on the internet is a recipe for disaster

As stated on the previous page. I'm getting the 162gr Amax hovering around 2640-2650 fps in a 20" T3 using a slightly warm load of 2208.
