Most guys stocked up like crazy during the last break in the AMAX drought (including myself). I'd say a few are waiting to burn through their stock before they try the new non-melty tips

Well if they shoot as good as the 143gr 6.5mm ones do, then you will be well pleased.

Any word on how these are going for people?
I'm considering changing down slightly from the 180 bergers as I feel I'm not getting enough speed for them to perform.
Either that or I try the nosler 175

Got mates using the 'm' with good results on deer. Loaded same as amax and seated same in comparator with next to no identifiable changes in group or speed.

Hmm. Ok I looked on reloaders website and the eld-x are way cheaper than the nosler LRAB'S. I never tried the 162 amax before. So might grab a box and see how they go

i'm probably way behind the times here but whats the story, are the stockpiles of Amax 162 going to dry up and then we have to go to Elx ? On the Hornady website the amax is no longer listed...
