    Fast Twist 222

Anyone loading for one of these? Will have a 1:9 and mostly plan on using 55g but do have some 60g partitions and 62g gold dots both of which are just gathering dust. So if anyone has used similar let me know.

its close enough to the 223 which is its child rather than sibling...... to mean results in one pretty much cross over to the other...

15 per cent more boogie in the 223. Makes a difference.

Don't sweat it Sierra lists loads up to 63 gr SMP in .222 the twist has very little to do with it in those weights,
Just use common sense when loading.
I find 2206H works well with the 63 SMPc Sierra .

yes n no...... a mild load in one isnt really a hot load in the other...it wasnt until I looked up loads for the trebly that I realised how light Ive loaded the 223 for all these years.... that 24.5grns of ar2206h pops up again lol.
    75/15/10 black powder matters

the 63grn SMP is short for weight.....that and the 60grn hornady spfbare both reccomended for the 1;14 twists

Yea I was leaning more towards the success of heavy for calibre in 222. What speed are you getting?

A friend of mine was shooting 600 yrd targets with a custom 218 bee ackley loaded with 90 grainers. It was a loooong barrel with a fast twist and appropriately throated. The 222 would be interesting in a similar Configuration with its long neck.
