Emailed Starline and they will sell and ship me brass. However, I have to order 3 drums of 7,000 9mm cases. Not sure if I'll actually need 21,000 cases. Cost a little under US$2500 plus freight. 6 months wait for the order too. Shame they don't do 5.56.

    Also was sent this:

Starline has received your new order.

The UNITED STATES Office of Defense Trade Controls now requires Starline to submit:

    1. An original or certified (notarized) copy of a valid import certificate issued by the foreign government. If an import permit is not required, we need a letter from your government stating that one is no required be sent to Starline Inc.
    2. A signed purchase order or letter of intent (May require a signed contract to be submitted with any application).
    3. End user statement is also required.
    4. All custom head stamp orders are run over by 10%. Please allow for this on your purchase order and import permit.
This is a requirement of our government.
Must have originals and they must be in English.
Must have a street address no P.O. Box allowed.
All overseas industrial orders are wire transfer.
Please supply the freight forwarder at the time you place your order.
This is for any order that is being shipped out of the United States.

Once we have the proper paperwork we can apply for an export license.

    Thanks

Hehe, that'll put you in competition with Serious Shooters, who charge $100/500 9mm once fired. So your cases are worth $42,000 here in NZ assuming you can sell that many lol.

Thing is I think the "normal" forms say for personal use only and must not be on on-sold. So how do you convince US customs your 21000 9mm rounds is for your personal use? I'd love to see that letter.

Now if you get a dealer endorsement on your FAL ($200 per year?) Ok you can I assume import them? but spanners has been trying so it cant be that easy.

Best deal on 556NATO so far that will ship is reloadinginternational?

This was/is not for personal use and these would not be exported from the US on the understand that are. Trying to go legit these days including paying all fees and getting all the correct permits etc.

Even at the dealer rates from direct the manufactures for new brass purchased in bulk, add shipping, GST, customs brokerage fees and and the exchange rate, $100/500 is a pretty good deal(one fired or new).
