It's a matter of whether they will group? I know that both the 22 hornets favour the vmax, and from now on I will only use boat tail projectiles, much easier to reload.

As in what have you not loaded, I forgot to put the powder in one of the cases and the primer drove the projectile out, while I was mucking around the prey absconded and as I tried to put another round in it would not close, pulled that out and tried another round and same result. Bit of a think and worked out that there was a lead pill in the lands, out with the torch and I see the arse end up in the chamber. So some mothers do have them.
Memo to myself, make sure to pay way more attention.

Bloody Hell! I've, unknowingly, fired a second round which pushed a stuck round out, but only in 22 rimfire. It left and "O-ring" groove in the rifling and a swell in the barrel.
I wouldn't want to do it with a centrefire rifle, you'll blow your face off!
I have had one centre-fire projectile which came out of the case and jammed in the breech/rifling when I extracted the cartridge without firing. Obviously not seated correctly. The powder pouring into the magazine alerted me to the problem. Fortunately I always carry a cleaning rod in the ute and a very gentle tap dislodged the projectile without drama.

I stand to be corrected but I believe it is called a "squib" load. Happened to me once when doing some load development. Round didn't go bang but more like a pop and no recoil. Thought to myself that's weird and pulled bolt out to try and look down the barrel, obviously couldn't because as it turned out bullet was half way down. Gentle push with a cleaning rod easily retrieved the offending projectile.
Moral of the story is if things don't sound or feel right after pulling the trigger, always check your bore is clear.

Re getting out a squib load.

Not that you should carry one in your day pack, but I have removed projectiles caught in the lands with a drill bit. It works in a pinch and you dont go wrecking your cleaning rod.
The method is not to put it in a chuck as you would think but drop it arse first down the muzzle, keep it a mm smaller than the rifles caliber, it has worked for bigger diameters like 7.62, not sure it would have enough weight for a triple two. Tip of the day

I've done that as well. I used to carry a piece of brass rod around about 100mm long for a ss rifle that the cases would stick in the chamber drop it down the barrel an out the case would pop out. Got old pretty fast tho....
