1st shot was 280m on a ginger spiker, steep down hill, L to R wind. I held just left of the shoulder point, bang flop!
2nd shot was in the head on a yearling doe at 80m finishing a deer that a mate had spined. The guys shot other deer in the same basin.
It started pissing rain so didn't get any photos, just a chiller pic this morning.

When I got back to the farm I'm looking after in the Wairarapa at 1am this morning with the 2 deer it was still 23c so I broke them down to go in the fridge. Too hot to leave them hanging for the night. So that extended my bed time to 2.15am but at least the meat was chilling. The meat was good this morning. It was 27c by 9am this morning - thats when I woke up.

There's plenty of deer on the farm I'm baby sitting but I get bored with it so drove 2 hours for some variety.

Too hot here to leave meat very long

I have a 12v Dometic fridge/freezer in the Ute and get the best cuts to it as fast as I can

Then I lie in the creek for 30 mins

They are very hard to get and expensive when you can. Ive got enough but ration them to myself and use them on nothing but deer. Maybe @Kiwi Greg might be able to source some?
