Thread: Closest heli operator to Arthurs Pass?

an anyone give me a heads on this please? looking at north east of Arthurs Pass so a bit far for Mt Hutt Heli out of Double Hill. preferably flying from the Canty side but open to the coast depending on proximity. cheers

Flew with them last week, good fellas not that far tho, will cost I agree

Have you tried "way to go" in Rangiora, probably wouldn't be as expensive as Anderson or Ahaura and you get to fly from the Canterbury side

Hanmer (Amuri) might be closest if you're NE of APNP

cheers, there seems to be a bit of a void of chopper coverage on the NE side of of SH73 with services at Ahaura, Rangiora and Hammer being at the far corners of the triangle
flagging the idea of a long walk in to APNP due to laziness and time constraints we will probably be flying up the rakaia from double hill with mt hutt heli

You can't fly into APNP anyway - unless I'm mis-reading and you just wanted to fly to somewhere *near* it.
