    Hunting in Sweden.

Over the years there are a few swedes that make their way over to NZ on hunting adventures, which get posted about on here, but I just can't seem to find their posts and user names.

It looks like I'll be spending 6 months in the middle of nowhere in Sweden early next year and would like to find out information about the hunting and fishing opportunities.

If there is anyone here that knows about hunting in Sweden or can find the old posts from the swedes that have been here I'd be really grateful.

You will need to know locally specific information, that you will collect when you are there.

In general hunting in scandinavia is heavily regulated.

I am going after reindeer next month in Norway and Roe Deer and pigs the month after in Sweden.

The woman are amazing, the beer is pretty good and make sure you buy a few quality used optics to flog when you are back home.

If you make it to western norway, you are welcome to stay for a few days

    Sorted. What a forum.

Thanks! I'll flick those guys a message.
@norsk that's a great offer thanks. I'll be in Dalarna mostly and have been there twice already. The fishing in the lakes for pike is pretty good fun and you see roe deer when driving between towns. Finding info on who hunts them and how you go about it is scarce though. I've been ice fishing in the north of Sweden where they also moose hunt but all the hunting I could find up there was paid hunting at over 15,000USD.

You can hunt with a camera, that I'd free and too regulated.

    Hey guys,

As vietnamcam mentioned I'm from sweden and visited your beautiful country a couple of years back. The hunting here is great but the experiences I had with some really kind people from this forum is something that is in i completely different league..
I will be glad to help out anyone whose interested in hunting in sweden and I just sent Frezzer a private message. My plan to write a hunting journal didn't work out but hopefully i can be of assistence on here anyway.

    Regards
    Martin
