NZ Herald story. Woke anti hunters in Australia.

I’m not sure if this is behind the paywall. Hopefully not and you can access it.

    Yep wow.
Looking for problems that don't exist. Disturbing that this person is a member if parliament.

Replace bow hunting with archery I bet there will nothing said AT ALL.

I don't get the age restriction on hunting. Really boggles the mind.

I think the cotton wool needs to be wound around the Aussie MP, not the kids. That way she can't interfere with other people's lives.

Sounds like that dad is intend on having a son that's well grounded in basics of life and the responsibilities that come with hunting for your food. Well done that man.

(but I'm also from a generation that just does not 'get' this living life on the net where everything you do is put up in technicolor for others to see)

"I mean, that puts that toddler in a very dangerous situation, and also risks them experiencing trauma from witnessing an animal dying and being torn to pieces."
Sounds like the Animal Justice Party MP needs a lesson on how to sharpen a knife. Trying to tear an animal apart is really hard work and not efficient at all.

Wish I had had a father like that, mine was a paramedic and into saving lives, he didn't even like fishing.

Happy Jack I had parents like yours, but got to hang out with the Grandfather so got a taste of fishing being outdoors.
My Parents were good sports people, very competitive so much so, they put me off.
Hunting / fishing to me is a release, don't need to get all wound up with every activity I do.

My father (rip) was the opposite - he shot humans for a bit.

So when that stoush was over we moved to NZ and he took up hunting and I followed in his footsteps ( no, I didn’t shoot humans!) and never looked back.

Still have a couple of his rifles.
