    One for the Northlanders...

I think it's fair to say that we are not exactly blessed with land that is easily accessible for hunting, please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm lucky that I have access to three small farms which have been pretty good for rabbits and turkeys, plus I can shoot ducks over small ponds at one of the locations. I've also been out with another forum member chasing goats on the DOC lands around Whangarei - good fun, but bloody hard work at times! Is that it, private land and goats on DOC land, or am I missing something? I know there are pigs in some DOC areas, but don't think they are a realistic option if you don't have dogs. Do you Northland-based people travel south often for deer hunts?

I'm not asking for access to your land in this post, I couldn't cope with the online lynching! Just wondered what you are all up to and how you get your fix?
