    Tahr Chamois Whitetail and Waps

    Evening all,

After having a quick spin threw the trophies from previous roars thread and with the up and coming Tahr rut I thought lets see some Tahr. But lets include a few more southern critters we can probably leave the reds and fallow out as theirs a place for them in the other thread id love to see some Waps and White tail pictures must be a few out their.

    Cheers fullahs and fulleses

Here’s a few. Live in Wellington and 90% of my hunting is done in the South Island looking for Tahr and most recently chammy. Name: D26B3EA1-7A60-4350-B7C7-C9B75A052B86.jpeg

Top chamois is actually bigger, he goes 10inchs. The second has better hook but is only 9.5. The two Tahr one is 12, and the bottem photo just scraping on 13’

I was meant to be in the Mahitahi River now tahr hunting... Hoping to find another decent bull, either for me or preferably my brother who hasn't managed to get a really decent 1 yet. Here's a couple of mine from a few years back...

If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more

Iv shot some odd shapped bulls that really throw judgement on size . They all have 2 horns but their certainly all different eh some wide some high some curved some straight some bass heavy some cary their bass's high . Not as boring as people may think lots of defining characteristics bull to bull
