    Just for fun
Show of photos of your shitest bores
This one certainly takes out the worst I’ve seen
It’s a 44-40 rolling block carbine I picked it at wellington arms auction sight unseen as the actions were tied closed

Action is good though so will be rebarreled at some point im happy as I only paid parts value so im happy enough

    Yeah
    After a good scrub
Bullet made it 30mm up the bore
    Case spilt and bulged
Id say it has had a poor attempt at being re chambered to 44 mag
Which is absolutely nuts considering it’s a 1870’s rifle that in no way is made to handle a 44 mag

I was talking with akaroa1 about teds earlier and if you now have to "render the item inoperable" at public auction so you can't check the bore or the operation of an action what is the point of either selling it buying at auction anymore. Is it part of the master plan or just another if those unforseen circumstances that comes from poorly designed legislation and not listening to people with knowledge in that field but rather relying on I know best
Having said that I scored by default a nice early greener GP from teds as someone I know ended up buying 2 by mistake.

Nope - the auctions have ammo in the same place as firearms so the firearms must be deactivated. Or the ammo locked away or something... It's to my mind pretty much a common sense thing - we probably should never have been having random people walking amongst piles of ammunition and firearms.
