    Leica Rangefinder

I have recently upgraded my Leica Rangemaster 1200 to a newer model. As I don't really need 2 rangefinders I am thinking of selling it on TM.

As there aren't any similar 2nd hand models currently on TM to compare price with, nor on this forum. What in your opinion is a fair price?

It is in good condition with clear optics. It ranges identical to my new Rangefinder.

    Thanks.

I think you'd struggle to get $650 to be honest. I would have thought $550 or thereabouts would be more realistic, but you never know with those trade me muppets. I sold one to a mate for $500 a while back and thought we both got pretty good deals at that price.

What does a brand new unit cost? $900?

Just bung it on Trade Me at $650 start bid (make sure you have it on auction, not buy now) and see how the market goes, you can easily lower the price if it's still sitting there in a year's time!

I can't remember what I got for my 1200 CRF about three years ago, but I'm always surprised how well things like that sell.

Thanks all for the feed back. Judging by whats been said above, $550-600 seems to be a good starting point.
