I have heard some interesting commentaries on Mini 14/30s because they are not free floated the accuracy can be affected by movement in the stock mounts. The action is hard on scopes and recoil buffers so maybe it will move and wear the stock mounting points also? Something else to check.

Awesome, good to see it shooting well. PPU is by far the most accurate factory 7.62 in my AR.

Yeah it's a pity because I've got a shit load of Norinco, but I can plink that out of the sks. And saves making a dick of myself storming back to the retailer.
What's an AR go like in 7.63x39? I was thinking of it but the mini won due to the small handy size for tight bush use. An added bonus has been my missus thinks it's the 10/22 so had no wife tax after I bought it.

Classic! so you own a 30/7.62 Wife Tax can be expensive.

The AR has a 14.5 inch barrel so is plenty short for the bush and shoots well even with norinco/chicom mill. I have managed plenty of 2inch 3 shot groups with it however groups start to loosen up a bit when it gets hot. Bit more recoil than 223 but heaps of fun to shoot.

If you want to catch up at the range some time you can have a shot.
