    It depends on how hard it's been thrashed, its big open country and those well educated birds don't hang around if they sell you. It certainly get worked pretty hard by the guys who shoot opening weekend on it.

    the first time I went there I saw 20 cocks/hens but never close enough for a shot. the next day in the damp I saw 5 birds in 2 hours.

    i've had the opposite too, the lease holders had sprayed the lupin and there was nowhere for the birds to hide, I only saw 3 for 2 days hunting, all up around the river.

    water wise, the paddocks have plenty of troughs for the dog so all you need is your own water.

    forgot to say, there were a heap of feral cats out there last time I was there.

    First run out with the wires, left it too late for a decent walk but found 2 roosters hangouts and shot a hare in flight as it jumped the ditch.
