Yes i do miss a good old pomey pub and i never lived in a city over there. But there are just too many people and to much shit to make it a nice place to live anymore.

My online name is pretty simple really.

P38 = Pete and I was 38 when I join the Information Super Highway

Although there are lots of other P38's around from Can Openers to Pistols to WWII Fighters and of course Me

    Cheers
    Pete

Nice try Rushy, but don't go visiting Yorkshire and having a go at it.
For the record, I come from the opposite end of the country. IE; a soft southerner

My user name is simply the nickname I was given when about 8 yrs old, on account of me being VERY flat footed and walking like, well, a Penguin.
This is contrary to a theory put out there by another forum member, that I closely resemble Danny De vito.
    Thanks Gobo

tawhaowhao...is maori for driftwood..i am pakeha ..it reminds of the impermanence with which we live. and that we should never get attached to one place too much. i lived in minginui for nearly 30 years..some one said to me not long ago..'you're not from here"..initially my ego reacted; What!!? and then i thought hes right. I didn't take on the nick name tawhaowhao for nothing. Time to move along.. other names I like are; Ghost dog..which is my photo..and peaceful warrior for change..which is where my heart is sometimes.

My username came from when I was a kid, when I use to read about phil Holden and his sako243, hunting deer for a living. When I started work I knew I had to have one just like phil.took a few years but yip I got one, or maybe two.
