    New to NZ

    G'day,

Just recently moved to NZ from Australia, and enjoying the much more sensible firearms laws here. My wife is an New Zealander, and she wanted to be closer to family. I'm happy to be out of the Darwin heat.

I recently separated from the Australian Army, where I was an Infantryman (Mechanized).

I have a bit of experience with firearms, including: 8 years armed security work(mainly covert), previous service in the Canadian Reserves, an "advanced" firearms course in the USA (Combat Focus) and several armorers courses: M16/M4, pump action shotgun, precision rifle, Glock and SIG Sauer pistols.

Looking at getting involved in 3 gun, service rifle, hunting and just enjoying the sport.

    I'm Auckland based.

    Regards
    Adam

    Welcome Adam.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
