Infinitely better starting the night with a thermal, than just heading off with a night vision scope.
Effective illumination range is just not a consideration, so I can plan the hunt with ease. I know which paddocks have livestock, and which directions not to shoot before making a start.

Photo is definitely not as exciting as some.

2 stags I got a bit close to.
I had to look up the meaning of "Fudd" yesterday because the term was unfamiliar to me. Now I have come across another new term which is equally unfamiliar to me; "non target species". Surely there is no such thing? I dont understand?? They just look like deer to me.

Haha. Normally, they would be target species but I was just carrying my .22lr with subs so wasn't keen. They will keep.

The unit dynamically adjusts the thermal scale, so the hottest objects are white. Just unfortunate that these cows run hotter than the surrounding rabbits. When the cows are not present, the rabbits really "pop"
