Yep, you're on to it Micky. Basic venturi vacuum ( correct spelling ) we have small vacuum generators on our robot at work for picking up cartons.

    Bang on Micky Duck.
The magazine was a short length off a t junction at the far end with the bottom end made smaller. Firing required briefly blocking the open end long enough to suck one marshmallow down. Rinse and repeat.

Identify your target beyond all doubt because you never miss (right?) and I'll be missed.

Yep. I've fired a licorice allsort nearly 30 metres before (from an elevated position). Saw the a guy with the cannon at a kids science show. It's a big hit at birthday parties

    The marshmallow cannon is cool.
On the original topic Hipkins saying he doesn't think the arms act needs changing but existing regulations could be adjusted is reasonably concerning, as is mentioning needing to look into 3d printers

at a large event Ive attended for last few years they have a T shirt cannon...bit of drain pipe a rolled up T is poked down into..they fill a chamber with compressed air then POP it through behind Tshirt...depending on how much they piped in decided how far up auditorium the package went.

Ha - it's a total confused mess that no one can make head or tail of and totally devoid of useful details. Mission accomplished...

Hipkins is on a roll and when you're on a roll - you keep the bugger rolling or you lose impetus.
I saw him standing behind the PM a while back getting 'face recognition' and thought - "Poor bastard, he's lost impetus."

And now he's getting it back ......................
