    Swirling wind, definitely not direct but i would have thought he would have caught on to them. He knows what we are doing, he just doesnt help out. Ive probably taken some of the drive out of him by keeping him close

    No that shouldnt matter. Sounds like you have him under good control which is an absolute must. No whineing or barking is also a great thing.

    So when your hunting into the wind, what does he do?? will he wind and stalk for you?

    Does he get to eat bits of the deer that you have shot??
