    Zoe's first deer

    Our young pup got her first deer today at 6.5months old, all the training vested in her has paid off and is still in progress. A nice easy stroll, had us in position and soon a deer was spotted. She sat still and was steady to the shot which was 275yds. Zoe took me all the way in reacting well to all commands, working on wind scent straight to the deer. Very happy with how she went, one of many more to come.

    Was your rifle suppressed and was she tied up when you took your shot? My GSP/Lab is still learning and was fine for the first two deer (bush stalking) at heel but certainly didn't like the noise when hunting in the tussock.

    Yes rifle is suppressed and she wasn't tied up just sitting 1m to my rear.
