Nah, just a little teething problem to sort.
That is the plan when I can next walk.
Had a look with the endoscope and, though the quality wasn't great, I could see a tag in the neck area that corresponds with the very light gark on the neck. I cannot feel it with a fingernail or...
I have one so may as well give it a go.
And mine too. And as has been previously stated it does this with factory loads as well.
The mark is on all 9 cases. I'll be taking the scope and bases off shortly ans the new rail has arrive so can get a better look at things.
Load is 71.5 gr of 2217 pushing 162 gr A-Max out of brand spanking Norma brass and CCI magnum primers. Zero signs of over pressure.
Just an optical illusion on run-out due to poor lighting and angle.
Will knock up a shim to place between the bolt and receiver and see how it behaves as a test. Think the chamber needs a good...
I can get a projectile into a case from my Zastava 7mm RM but not in one from the Browning 7mm RM. OD of the necks from the Zastava are 8.10mm and from the 8.06mm.
The photo below shows the brass...
I think yours is worse. Been trying to get a good photo, will try again with a better camera today. Still think it is more an issue with a tight and gummed up neck. I looks like dried up oil that...
Video not playing.
I agree. The bolt initially moves back as it should. I can see marks on the walls and neck of the brass where it has scraped with extraction. I suspect that there is gummy muck in the neck area of...
Here is the one with the bolt handle on the wrong side.

The one in the video was a Remmy 700 that I found on YouTube that was a good representation of easy bolt lift but hard extraction. Of course the one here has the bolt on the wrong side for TR.
How...
I suspect it is primary extraction.

Will check that out!
It's a Browning A-bolt and looking at the brass I can see a few marks that are the same on all the brass that has gone through this rifle.
It is pretty much the standard handload recipe for 7mm RM on here and the only issue is the extraction. Bolt lift fine, primers fine and it does it with factory ammo too. My pick is not the load.
Previous owner had the same issue with factory or hand loaded ammo I believe.
When I can walk I'll grab some of the brass and have a good look at it. There is a small gark on the neck of the brass...
OK, the girls rifle seems to shoot OK but there is a major extraction issue. The rounds are handloads with new Norma brass so shiny, clean and should not have any sizing issues. The loads are above...
