I am as dumb as I look but not dumb enough to ever do that.
Talking to an Ozzie workmate who is a keen fisherman and boaty.
He come up with an idea I will go with.
I will just pump my water from a 60L fresh water tank stored under my stern storage area.
No...
Cheers Deadi 😊
Bloody informative post. Thanks for going to the effort.
I will earmark it and get her done.
I might bother you again in a few weeks
Thanks to everyone else for their input as...
Cheers mate. I am not an as experienced boaty as some of these fellas so they made sense to me. Why have something that can fail and sink you I didn't give the safety implications a second thought....
Fuck it I will just get a good scrubbing brush and a bucket.
Put the time and money into a capstan for pots and anchor.
Didn't think it would be such a hassle or risk.
Mate had one on his boat and...
Well how are most deck wash intakes run then?
It is why I am asking. Won't worry about one if there is not an asthetic way to do so
Anything Abe has to do with this boat is sitting in it catching fish or drinking a few cans.
If I let him anywhere near it it with tools the friggin thing would end up with a water blaster that...

Probably the smartest but.
Maybe if someone from Nelson was driving?😂
It would take them at least that long scouting all the new talent that roams on the many farms you have to drive past.😆
Can't post pics as I technically do not own it yet.
Have a 7 1/2 hr one way drive to pick her up. Hopefully have good weather in Haast on my return trip so I can get out for a fish.
Thinking of an automatic bilge as well, as it will be moored or anchored in heavy rainfall from time ro time no doubt.
But point taken.
Hose out through engine controls would look rude on this...
No. Planning on using a dedicated deck wash 40 psi pump (20ltrs/min) Just want to fit it myself.
Not cheap but way cheaper than getting one I priced, fitted.
Your talking intake right?
Pump will be out of sight but accessible in a storage well. At least thats my cunning plan.[emoji6]
Finally got me a boat lined up and looking to pick it up in a few weeks.
It has no deck wash and I want to fit one myself but I want to know where to scab the water from.
Anyone that uses one can...
