Yeah we seem to have a few watch geeks here!
New models are always pricey, it's why I went for the rangeman not the mudmaster
R93 mine started eating batteries as well, screen was getting past it as well. Have had 2 suuntos and been 'ok' time to change to CASIO as had an old g shock for 10+ years and nothing wrong with it. ...
yep that did the trick, had to download the manual for this specific watch.
manual says to hold the 'reset' / adjust button down when in the mode for updating the time frequency thing. holding the...
problem with this idea is it needs a sunny day/
managed to sort out the auto light feature but still not able to turn off the auto updates...
Awesome, will do that when I get back to civilisation later in the week, in the meantime hopefully it lasts!
Ok folks I went for the rangeman, happy with it so far but has anyone worked out how to turn off the auto light? When you tilt the watch (rotate wrist) the light comes on, lost 1/3 of battery...
Looks ok if it wasn't for all the different city names all round the edges...
CASIO rangeman is in the lead at the moment. Though I don't like the negative display (white numbers on black...
Mathias i agree analogue is easier to read but wanting thermo, baro and altimeter so dont think there is enough display room for analouge and all the things i want
I'm not going to be getting a watch if no one buys my rifles and stock for sale....
Bugger that, I'd rather a house for that price tag
are you able to turn this off?
No where really, just another function that I would have to try and work out... Anywayyyyyyyy someone buy my rifles so I can get a new Watch!
Sounds like you should be selling it to me cheap and earning brownie points
ok smart arse; its another thing to go wrong, have to send it back under warranty, not have it for 3 months and end up getting pissed off!
Don't like the idea of a radio update... Etc thingy just something to drain the battery, if it's out a few minutes it's not the end of the world
My back up g shock was a freebie with a trailer load of pink baths 10ish yrs ago... Think it's had 1 new battery. It's a damn good watch but it's just only good for time and an alarm!
Casino protech prg 250b seems to be ticking the boxes, doesn't look to big and chunky....
Temp, baro, alti, solar, Compass....
Hmmm liking the idea of solar and some even have a battery indicator... :ORLY: guess it's a built in vitamin d detector!
Hmmm is altimeter out cause you had haven't re set it as barometer changes or is it just crap? Temp is always the case when it's on Ur wrist! Cheers for the quick review.
Another factor is that...
Finally decided my suunto has lived long enough, lost the bezel off it and screen is now cracked and scratched past being readable. Put on my old g shock and it solo seems to be going fine, no...
