    1-11 30-06, projectiles

    Hi team,

Got a 30.06 1-11 twist tikka for cheap, ordered a t2 brake (because I'm a softy) wanting to know what target projectiles you are having luck with, i have never done any loading with .30 stuff.

I would like to try shooting 1000m with this rig so heavier the better? It came with full box of sierra 200gr Spitzer BT, but I'm not confident that they will stabilize.

So to save me loads of time and $, what have you guys got to work? Some starting loads would also be appreciated.

    Thanks Lars

Lots of options so I suggest you google "accuracy loads for 30-06 springfield" and go from there. I found good accuracy with ar 2209 and 180 sierras as an example.

My Ruger American in 3006 doesn't like the 200 gr eldx but shoots the 178 eldx and Noslar 180 gr Accubond and BT fine.

57 gns of 2209 and the 178 ELDx or 180 gn ballistic tip.
Start at 55 and go up by 1 grain lots to 57. Most rifles are ok with 57.

I do like the look of the 178eldx, seems to tick all the boxes, and I have plenty of ar2209. Sounds like a good place to start.

You know you can buy trial packs of 20 or so from gun works or similar?
