    Bullet shape also has an influence, as the projectile slows down the rate of spin naturally slows and gyroscopic stability is lost. A round nosed bullet can be 15 to20% shorter than a spitzer of similar weight and will therefore be stable in a slower twist. For your application I would suggest a bullet around 65 grains. You still get good velocity and the extra mass you are after. Having said that the 55 gr Sierra hpbt has suprised me in its effectiveness out to 200 in exactly those shots vietnamcam mentions.
