I am using Aussie Outback 55 grain in mine. Very accurate and hitting the bull at 300, though susceptible to wind at that range.

If the 55 Hornady's work, Gunworks sell them in bags of 500 for a very sharp price. Have some here if you want me to send some to try.

62 grain belmont. 1:9 won't stableise over 68, they might be fine at 100 but as the speed drops they will tumble at around 150 to 200m at most.

I've had excellent (bughole) accuracy from Hornady 53vmax and 68bthp, brother went as light as 40gr Nosler BT with similar results.

Tried 75amax but they were all over the place.

73gr amax shot very well in mine but only at a reduced load apparently (Greg had a play with it)

Will follow this, it shoots cheap horny 55gr soft point pretty well but I want a 60-70 gr soft bullet it will shoot well for rib shots on deer/goats. (for the boy)

It looks to me like a 1-12 twist will stabilize up to a 55gr jacketed or 62gr lead but not 62gr jacketed.
    1-9 up to 75gr.

Bullet shape also has an influence, as the projectile slows down the rate of spin naturally slows and gyroscopic stability is lost. A round nosed bullet can be 15 to20% shorter than a spitzer of similar weight and will therefore be stable in a slower twist. For your application I would suggest a bullet around 65 grains. You still get good velocity and the extra mass you are after. Having said that the 55 gr Sierra hpbt has suprised me in its effectiveness out to 200 in exactly those shots vietnamcam mentions.

My 69gr (targex) will stabilise in a 10" twist so no problem in a 9" if thats any help to you.
I run a 10" 22BR using them with no problems.
    Cheers
