120 gn ballistic tip or 120 gn barnes ttsx in 7 08 data

Hi. Does anyone have any reloading data for the above bullets? I have an 18 inch barrel with a Dan Can on a sako action. The barrel is a premium true flight barrel but for some reason despises heavier bullets above 120 grains with a passion so I guess that's my lot (which is a piss off). It started life with a 24 inch barrel and 1 in 9 twist and was going to be used for longer range but that was a gang f*ck so got the chop.

Anyway I have AR2208, BM2, RL 17 and a mate has H335. I tried 120 ttsx yesterday with 44 grains of 2208 and it seemed overloaded. Bolt was a bit sticky. Shot sort of OK with at times 2 or 3 bullets into 1/2 an inch then would chuck one an inch away. Might try 43 grains today weather permitting.

Have used the ttsx bullets on deer in 223 and 243 and they were effective. Anyone used the 120 bt's on deer. Mainly bush hunting out to 300 yards.

    Cheers

    Ginga

Don't have any load data, but I remember there was an article a while back in NZ Hunter about their "bushpig" rifles, where they were using TTSX's and H335. They normally detail the load used in their articles, so would be worth a look anyway...(if you have the magazine).
If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more

Big thread on the other site.

I've just got a great load with 130 sierra's, have you tried them? 41.5 2206h 18" inch barrel, Dan can, Remington model 7.

Got good results with 140 Barnes but still looking for a good load with the 120's, going to try the 2206H

Just checked my book 120's with 44 of 2208 was good not sure if it was BT's or SST's
