Shot this last night with 18" barrel 7-08 @ 3000 fps. 260 yards.
The 7mm 120 Nosler Ballistic Tips are an exceptional bullet. They have the same jacket thickness as the 140 grn so penetrate really well.
That's the exit side in the pic. It was lung shot.

I run the 125's in my 308 @3000fps fantastic accuracy and everything has been bang, flop
I'm very happy with the 125 ABs in the 308 too.
The 120 NBT is actually thicker/heavier at tip compared to the 140 NBT. They use the same cup but shorten it for the 120 NBT. I've got/had a picture somewhere showing it.
yep... great all around projectile, actually a touch hard for smaller animals wallabies and goats, not particularly explosive... which of course makes them good for deer... always seem to be accurate as well. In my clan we run 3 7mm-08s, and I have had 2 others and its hard to go past the 120BT. Use for everything Thar Chamois deer goats and wallabies.... :D

Yes the brown isn't flash, however I have a soft spot as the 6.5 120gr NBT in 6.5x55 was the first calibre and bullet I ever developed and then loaded for from scratch by myself.
The 6.5 ones work pretty good too. I used to load them (120 grn) with W760. I recall that they copped a bit of criticism on the old forum and I never understood why.Quote:

Shot a couple of goats on sat with 120 NBT''s from my stumpy 15" 708 mod 7.
Performed very well indeed. About 40 yds, shot a young nanny which did some damage to her including a big chunk of lung coming out the exit, then the bullet passed thru two smaller goats.
