    2209 price rise

Just on the phone to H&F. The guy reckoned the next shipment od AR2209 would be in December and would cost 30% more due to a worldwide shortage of an active ingredient.

    Should I be worried?

2.7 cents per grain. A 75 grain charge that's $2.02 of powder. load slower perhaps?or switch to black powder that's only around $75 for 500 grams

That puts it in perspective, $298 per kilo.

Last 2209 I bought was $189 from GC in Chch, their website ALWAYS seems to say "phone local branch to check availability".....maybe we should start making our own powder.................

Just had a look at the importers web site. ADI and Hodgdon powders are skinned. What the retailers have on hand is it until the next shipment.
