    223 and 70-80gr

Who is shooting what these days? 2206H and 2208 used to be the go, but it seems like we have some new powders for other cartridges that do a good job (RL16 etc?) so what's Hot for .223 and heavy bullets?

I have seen that Leverevolution powder is supposedly quite good.

Obviously mostly looking at the 75gr ELDM but the 88gr is interesting too.

Yeah I know that BM2, 2206H and 2208 are pretty popular but really wondering if anyone has discovered anything new that works better. Specifically in a bolt action with a longer OAL than AR maglength will allow also.

CFE.223 works well for me with my 6x45 with, 75-85gr, in my .223 with 75gr eld. and in 9.3x62 with 250 and 270gr.
fine ball powders so meters nicely.

BLC2 similar in performance, with heavy bullets in .223,

What sort of results are you getting in .223 with 75gr? (speed - and what barrel length?)

STD Sako 75 in .223 , so 22.5", I don't have ready access to rifle data, as its in Canada, I am in NZ, but think 2850-2900 fps, speed was quite good,

for reference, in my 6x45 I can push a 80gr to 2950 easy with CFE.223, and 75gr Hollow point to 3050, 20" barrel, touch quicker than benchmark or varget would.
I have got quite nice results from several rifles, with CFE.223, BLC2, almost mirrors this, touch slower, but better accuracy in the 6x47 rem.
this includes the .223, 6x45, .222 magnum. and 6x47 rem,
A worth while couple of powdrs to try, along with Benchmark, varget.
    gimp and Mathias like this.

25.4 grns from a 20" doing 2953fps works great on fallow.
Shoots 1/2" group, it's the same powder used in H&F loaded ammo which also shoots well.
