What primers are recommended for an AR15?

I get around 7 reloads, they then get splits around the neck from little nicks/scratches the locking lugs seem to give on feed or extraction.
In my experience, Federal cases (FC) are the worse for splitting there. Had some new FC 13 cases (from factory ammo) split after 1-2 reloads. Whereas older (06-09) stuff was fine.

I use Federal and Murom, but any will do. Some say Federal are too soft, but I've never had issues, as I always uniform the primer pockets and check seating depth.

Good guide to reloading for semis:

I've got 223 gear here Munsey just come over and use it, see if you enjoy it enough to justify the investment, learn a few bits and pieces along the way and gain clarity on what things are necessities, what things are luxuries and what things are only useful for skiting about your latest purchase to mates at the pub
