Having found a 270 with a "buggered" barrel, that shoots very consistently around the moa mark with several different loads, I did a wee bit of load development at the weekend and loaded some 140 Interlocks. Pushed along by 58gn's of Superformance rather than the 4831/2213 I normally use. No surprises really, 3 shots under 28mm @ 100 metres. But it was doing 3062fps across the chrony, compared to just under 2900 using 4831. I dont normally chase speed, way overrated, but am happy to continue to load with Superformance if thats the result. And absolutely no pressure signs.
Have you tired the other powders in that rifle? It may just be a "fast" barrel.
