Thread: 280 rem?

I had both a sako & a tikka in 280 rem with the latter being a tikka in 7mm08 reamed out to 280 rem.

Lately a mate & I bought another tikka in 7mm08 & teamed it out to a 284 Winchester & cut the barrel down to 16 inches.

This has proven to be an awesome lightweight setup & I would recommend you think about reaming your current rifle to a 284 as you can use a shorter barrel as opposed to needing a longer barrel for a 280
