    300 Norma

If I remember correctly someone was having a play with the 300 Norma round a while back. If anyone has any load data especially with the 230 and 215 Bergers I would be keen to know more. I will also need to hire, beg, borrow a reamer so if anyone has one please feel free to contact me. Happy to pay a hire-age fee. If your hard work in load development is sensitive please PM me and I will be discreet.

    Thanks

    Herb.

Well that was one possible option for it. But steel plates out to 1500 yards was the first goal. If I can build it so that the weight is manageable it may also be a good LR hunting rifle although at longer ranges I would probably prefer a bigger bullet. Anyway thats all in the future, I have to build it first

I should have one going in a week or two, it only has a 25" barrel as it is a dedicated hunting rifle so velocities won't be up too much.

He only wants to shoot the 150-165 projectiles, can't blame him, he is a big boy, but without a brake or suppressor it is going to boot a bit

Might be time to buy a nice pair of spongy jandles for load development

What sort of velocitys do you expect with the light weights Greg?

I don't know Cam, I haven't looked into too much yet, being a shortish barrel I'm not sure.

He wanted 24" & I wanted 26" he must have had a good think about it & decided 25"
