    Gidday man,

Is that 178 ELDX seated right out? That seems like a bloody high powder charge. I couldn't get near that in my Tikka, couple of other people I know are running 62 gr max the same as me.

All of the loads are Seated to fit Mag, its a warm load if I use Norma Brass I drop the charge 2grains

Sweet, thanks for that. Norma brass clearly on the very soft side. Good to know.

I had another Tikka 300 wsm with factory length barrel and Hit pressure signs with lower charges much earlier and only got similar speeds to my 20 inch wsm, so moved it on.

Have a bit of data for H100V, gave good results for accuracy and velocity also, and was going to be an option for me if I couldn’t get Reloader 17.

When my wsm had a 21 inch barrel I was using 62.9gr of rl17 and averaging 2900 ish with the 178 eldx, but couldn’t get mine too group under 3/4 inch consistently. Barrel is now 19 inch and using 178 eldm with 60gr of rl17 is getting me 2660 and same hole groups for a bush sika load. Will do a hotter one for when the long range missions start up.

All seated at tikka mag length and using federal premium brass and federal premium large rifle primers.

Not sure what is considered Ideal, all mine are threaded 14x1 with barrel lengths ranging from 24, 22, 20 and 18 inches

In terms of common threads there is the choice of 14x1 or 9/16x24 unless you want to go smaller which I would not do. Barrel diameter is too small to fit a 5/8x24 thread on
Mine is threaded 14x1 because I prefer Metric
