About LinkBacksYou're right, this really has been done to death.
Pick a reasonably slick middle weight bullet like a 165gr NBT or 168gr ELD-M and load it up reasonably warm with 2206h or 2208... it will just about have what it needs to kill reds and tahr at 500m without you needing to track, provided you can stick it in exactly the right spot.
