Thread: 44/40 questions

Tiroa if you decide to branch out from 44/40 (I understand the nostalgia bit though) have think about a Rossi 454 Casull.
I bought one because they generate some serious horsepower when you want it. And it runs fine on 45 Long Colt when you don't.
Reloading the Colt is really cheap with lead projectiles. And being a straight wall (44/40 is a bottleneck) it's simple.

45 Colt can be loaded to out-perform 30-30 in terms of energy delivered at longer distance. I bought my 454Casull because I couldn't get a 45 colt at the time.
