Fark! Nobody should be allowed a more than 62 grain projectile ... and that paper wrap will prevent rifling marks for forensic evaluation!
Manly rounds
Have fun !
Insuring my shoulder and nose this week, great to shoot though!:ORLY:

Does the tail help them fly straight? :)

beautiful! You could stub your toe on one of those ...
That's a fair bit of BP.
Dressmakers pattern paper, wetted and wrapped around projectile and left to dry. Paper shrinks onto projectile as it drys, then tail is cut off. Means a tight fit in mouth of shell and no crimp. In theory lead doesn't touch the bore and paper comes off on exiting the barrel.
Whats their BC maca? :P
Is there a delay from when you pull the trigger to when the powder ignites?
Maca that must kick like a mule on steroids.
You need to shoot off hand standing, off a rest prone its hard to handle without padding of some sort. Ill bang 20 of these away one after the other, the steel butt plate leaves a nice imprint and bruise. I have a gell pad that goes on my shoulder, theyre great:thumbsup:
:D
now that would give you a seriously bad hair day
Actually, thinking about it, with that much powder more Brick@Mach1.4
When you are done with that Maca, how about one of these

Pretty sure there is someone on this forum with a mini canon.
I feel so inadequate only loading 420gn projectiles :ORLY:
I tried paper patching for my double rifle but with a full case ( 120 gr ) of todays black powder it would not achieve the velocity needed to regulate. Swiss BP was the best but still not up to the standard of the old day powder the Pom's used.

Probably a compaction prob? Because I have a shouldered case and with BP you cannot have any air gaps, I have to use a filler, such as corn meal. But corn meal absorbs moisture and it a bastard to load along with the wads and grease cookie. 85 grains fills the case passed the shoulder. Am going to look for a slow burning smokeless powder to load it and guess a clean barrel will be a benefit. Straight cases are great for BP that's why I shoot mostly 45/70:thumbsup:
I not sure I want to know he does in the privacy of his bedroom thanks.
Yeah finally went to smokless and woodleigh bullets. they regulate very well.Attachment 24711
Big old slow pre expanded bullet did some damage.Attachment 24712
Well done. Fair amount of trauma there.
Trauma was pulling the trigger!

They're an ugly looking case aren't they
Have you tried trailboss with the 577/450?, it's no good for double rifles ( regulation issues ) but is fun in the 458 Win.
You know how it works with the really big guns. At the shot the elephant falls over and the hunter falls over and who ever gets up first is the winner.:o
