Thread: 6.5 143gr ELD-X penetration on 6mm steel plate @500m & @700m

Hi There. I Have a 6.5CM. I am just about to have a 6.5 PRC built for me. What brass & powder are you using if you don't mind sharing. Thanks in advance.

It was the natural progression from the 140 a-max with the promise of purpose hunting performance. I use, they seem to be inherently accurate in all rifles and certainly a very capable animal killer, better than its predecessor that was a popular choice for hunters.

I’m getting 2960fps out of my 6.5-284 with these.

I am going to try the 143s next I reckon. I have been testing out the 147s this week, they kill well out to 600 yards then beyond that the killing is delayed, mv is 2916
The 147s do destroy a lot of meat as well!

And the Police are fretting about armour piercing ammo in civilian hands....
