    Just go for what you want. Ive got overlaps with all the stuff Ive got and dont give a shit. I like it and thats all that counts...

    Yeah that’s what I reckon.
    I’m leaning towards the 6.5 though to use the 140-150gr range of projectiles in a mild load. It’s a pretty light alpine rifle and as a 7mmWSM it jumps around a bit

    You could just buy Buzzmans Sako 260 that’s for sale on the forum

    A 143 eldm/x at 2950 fps has 1000 ft lbs of energy at 900 yrds

    That’s sufficient without laundering all the money for something that’s less than a saum

    Yea I here you their on the light rifle thing my saum was a dog with 168s much better with 180gns the 6.5 will be brilliant to shoot on a light platform

    What’s the projectile you’re intending to run? I think the reamer specs allow a 156gr Berger to be seated with a 2.97” COAL to touch the lands. They also like being jumped….

    Yes hoping to have the flexibility to run from the 140gr up to the 156gr Bergers.
    You’re also correct- 2.975” according to Rich Sherman

    They didn’t like jump one but in my 6.5 saum had a blimen hard time getting them to shot 20thou ended up being the ticket
