My load is the same, using Norma cases and SST in the standard version. 21.5" barrel.

I don't imagine an extra 100 fps is going to change that much.
I've had kills out to 550 yards, but I reckon that's about the limit. Maybe 600 yds.

I don't imagine that the AI will improve things too much. You really need to jump up to a 6.5 mag of some sort, but the advantages over even a 270 are not going to be great.
that is pretty much bang on Tahr,I love my 260ai but fireforming is an added exspence u could do without. But 6.5 Is were it is at IMO f0r performance and cost under 500yds for a hunting cal.But that is just my thoughts.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

As above ones I have had, loaded for and built have been around the same 3050 for 51gr n560 it's higher node, pressure around 52.5/53 with 140gr amax. And around same with re17 and 51gr for 3160 on high node, pressure at 52.5/53 with 130gr swifts.

That's with spec of my reamer so work up these as it's tighter then saami spec.

However, flying pigs kill extremely well. I certainly wouldn't want to be hit by one.
